These beauties are growing in my garden right now (September) and even if raspberries are easy to grow, I’m still very proud!
Did you know that raspberries are rich in powerful antioxidant, cancer fighting and anti-inflammatory phytonutrients?
They are also a good source of vitamin C which supports our immune system and fibre which helps our bowel to function optimally.
The low glycaemic index of raspberries makes them an ideal ‘treat’ for anyone watching their blood sugar levels and their waistline!
I like eating them with a little Greek yogurt or making the following smoothie which is one of my favourites.
Don’t be put off by the frozen cauliflower, you can hardly taste it, but you’ll be adding some fab nutrients to your breakfast this way.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Frozen Cauliflower
- 1 cup Frozen Raspberries
- 1 Lemon (juiced)
- 1/4 cupVanilla Protein Powder (I use Pulsin or Sunwarrior)
- 1tbsp Chia seeds
- 1 ½ cups Unsweetened Almond or Coconut milk
- Blitz all the ingredient in a blender until smooth, pour in a glass and enjoy!
